Student Life

As students those students who have meal plans will go to the cafeteria for breakfast the other will go to the classroom for a little free play . Last Breakfast is served at 8:45 am.

We transition the students over to circle time, and take attendance.

At circle time we review what day of the week it is, what month we are in along with the year. We count the number of days we have been in school and check the weather. We review the colors, letters, numbers, shapes and words of the week. We sing a few songs and ask the students if there is anything they would like to share with the class.

We read an age appropriate book, that goes along with our thematic unit. We have a little discussion and Q&A afterwards.

Coloring Worksheet, with Writing Activity. Students are encouraged to work independently working on their fine motor skills.

Mini Snacks are provided to all students they are healthy snack such as fruits or vegetables.

The class will than gather and go over the IPC activity for the day (The activity generally spreads into other areas of the day such as Independent worksheet time and free play).

Gross motor play is generally outside though weather permitting the students can play on the jungle gym, ride bikes, kick balls or play an activity designated by the teacher.

Students come back into the class wash hands and get a drink of water, students are allowed time to play with friends and socialize.

Students will gather around for a quiet story time along with soothing music to relax their full bellies and get ready for nap time.

Students take a 50 minute nap.

Students put away all nap time equipment such as blankets and stuff animals in their correct spots.

The class will either start a new activity or finish off an existing activity from earlier.

Student either go to one of our science labs, kitchen labs or computer labs.

Free play time until parent arrival.
